At Wynnum Dentists, our clinic policies are designed to ensure fairness, consistency and the best possible experience for everyone. Please know they are never personal, but simply a part of running a respectful and well-running clinic. We deeply value your time, and we also value the time and effort our team puts into preparing for each appointment. To help make it as easy as possible to keep track of your appointments, we send multiple reminders via text, email and we will even call you 2 days prior to your appointment. These gentle reminders are there to support you because we understand that life gets busy. By honouring our policies, you’re helping us protect the time and care we dedicate to each and every one of our patients – yourself included! We thank you for your understanding!
At Wynnum Dentists, we value both our clinician’s time and patient satisfaction. To ensure we maintain the best experience for everyone, we have established the following policies:
48-hour Appointment Adjustment Policy
– We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to make any adjustments to your appointment. You can contact us via email or phone to make these adjustments (not through any social media outlets). Not confirming appointments via the automated reminder messaging system does not suffice as a cancellation. It is imperative that you reach out to us in the clinic via phone or email.
– If cancellation notice is given less than 48 hours before the appointment, the deposit paid will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to reschedule the booking.
– If a cancellation is made more than 48 hours in advance, or if you need to reschedule, any deposits paid can be transferred as a credit on file to be used for a future appointment.
Booking Deposit Policy
– To secure any bookings, a booking deposit will be required. If you cancel your appointment with adequate notice (as outlined above), your deposit will be refunded, minus any administrative fees if applicable. Please understand that same-day cancellations are treated as a no-show. This is because, at such short notice, the appointment cannot be offered to another client who may require emergency treatment, and results in significant downtime for our staff, which impacts both scheduling and the cost of operations. We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen, and we always aim to approach each situation with compassion. However, repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a fee or require full deposits for future bookings.
- Deposit Amount: A deposit is required to secure your appointment with us. The deposit amount is a minimum of $50 OR as discussed with your clinician, which will be applied towards the cost of your treatment.
- Payment: The deposit can be paid via credit card or cash.
Late Arrivals Policy
– If you arrive more than 10 mins late, a $10 late fee will be added to the appointment. If you are 20 mins late, the appointment will be cancelled and any booking deposits paid will be taken. We strive to stay on schedule to be fair to all our patients and will do our best to accommodate however, we are unable to fall late for all our other clients and need to stay on schedule.
Patient Hygiene & Footwear Policy
At Wynnum Dentists, we are committed to providing a clean, safe, and professional environment for all our patients. To ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of everyone in our clinic, we kindly ask that all patients follow the guidelines outlined below for personal hygiene and footwear during their visit.
